October No Spend Days

November 1st, 2007 at 05:56 pm

I ended up with 18 no spend days for the month of October. I fear I may not do as well in November as I am trying to finish up my holiday shopping. I need to think about my goals for November above the no spend days as well. I plan to give that some thought and post my November goals later.

Believe I had 3 maybe 4 No Spend days last week, probably one that I foresee this week to pick up some ice cream on sale at the local, (and closest grocery store) For one person is easier to control.
I scan all the local food ads which come in our local paper, and try ! to do more than one errand at a time in the same area if possible. O yes will be in the same local mall to get my hair cut tomorrow I hope, but is not a "salon" but just "First Choice Hairdressers" about $13 with tip. Other than that don't really foresee, other than maybe a coffee out tomorrow night with friends any expenses. Am being treated out for dinner Tues. will have company for dinner Fri, but have enough in the house, no shopping needed.
Feels good when one can go most of the week without spending, other than perhaps paying hydro, or heating gas bills on line which are regulars.
I really get a kick out of "beating the system" as it would like to sell us everything whether we need it or not with the bombardment of advertising.
Am lucky don't have kids at home any more so no wants there
Just a thought to add to your post

Duplicate to correct error in prev. post!

Should read 1 day this week to SPEND money only, not 1 "no spend day" Sorry
